One Year On: Change, Courage & Choosing a Healthy, Happy Life.....

This week marks one whole year since we packed up our life in Kent and started fresh here in beautiful Norfolk — and honestly, what a year it’s been.

I still remember the mix of excitement and fear as we drove away that day — my stomach fluttering with what ifs. What if no one came to my classes? What if I couldn’t rebuild the same sense of community I’d had before? What if this big leap of faith didn’t work out?

But here we are — one year on — and I couldn’t feel more grateful or proud. I’ve met the most incredible women, seen faces light up with confidence, energy and friendship, and watched my online crew continue to grow and show up week after week.

You’ve all proved that it’s never too late to start again.

💛 From Fight or Flight to Rest and Digest

These days, I’m leaning into slowing down — and I want to encourage you to do the same.

No more waking up and diving straight into our phones, scrolling before our eyes are even open. No more endless late-night rabbit holes that leave our nervous systems buzzing.

Instead, let’s choose calm over chaos. Let’s start our mornings with my favourite little reset:

5, 4, 3, 2, 1 — get up and seize the day.

Five seconds. That’s all it takes to stop the snooze spiral, get your feet on the floor and begin your day with intention.

A gentle stretch.A slow breath.A moment of gratitude. Then maybe — a brisk walk in the daylight, or a strength session that makes you feel powerful from the inside out.

Because moving your body isn’t punishment — it’s a celebration of what it can do, no matter your age, ability or starting point.

💪 Never Too Late to Get Stronger

One of my greatest joys this year has been running my chair-based classes, and seeing how much energy, laughter and strength they bring. My oldest attendee is 95 years young, and he’s absolutely thriving. My class memebers remind me every single week that it’s never too late to begin, to move, to feel alive.

Strength training doesn’t have to mean lifting heavy weights or doing burpees. It’s about keeping our bones strong, our joints stable, our balance steady — and our spirits high.

Whether you’re training with me in a hall, joining our WALKFit sessions on the beach, or rolling out your mat online — I want every Woman , every person that joins me , to feel empowered, capable and proud of their progress.

🌸 A Year of Gratitude

To my new Norfolk crew — thank you for welcoming me so warmly, for showing up, for trusting me with your health and wellbeing.

To my online community, both new and long-standing — you are the heartbeat of this business. Your messages, your consistency, your energy through the screen — they’ve kept me going through every twist and turn of this move.

Together, we’ve built something special: a community of Women( & some Guys ) choosing to put their health, happiness and self-worth first.

✨ Here’s to the Next Chapter

If there’s one thing this year has taught me, it’s that change can be the best thing you ever do.

Even when it’s scary.Even when it’s uncomfortable.Even when you have no idea what comes next.

So if there’s something in your life that doesn’t feel right — maybe it’s your routine, your mindset, or how you’re caring for yourself — remember: you have the power to change it.

Start small.Start messy.But just start.

And if you want a little guidance, a supportive community and a reminder that you’re capable of more than you think — I’m right here, cheering you on every step of the way.

Here’s to calm mornings, strong bodies, kind minds and a life that feels as good as it looks. 💛

Health & Happiness ,

Emma xx

Very inspirational. I want to start walking more during the day. My ankle is getting stronger.
